Beginner guide

Welcome to Spelloria! This guide walks you through your first hours: which class to pick, what to do first and how to avoid getting stuck.

1. Pick a class

There are six classes. None of them is a trap, all of them can finish the game. They do play differently:

ClassStrengthGood for
Paladinmost HP and defensebeginners who like to take hits
Warriorsturdy with solid attackbeginners, straightforward melee
Archerfast, many turnsplayers who like speed and crits
Assassinfastest class, high attackrisky, fast play
Magehighest base attackdamage over safety
Necromancerpoisons and damage over timestacking effects

2. The campaign is your main thread

The campaign is the heart of the game. Every chapter has 10 stages, the tenth is a boss. Important: clearing chapter 1 unlocks many other features, such as dungeons, arena, guild and the rift. Do that first.

3. Getting stronger

When a fight is too hard, you have these levers:

  1. Equip gear. New weapons and armor drop from chests, dungeons and campaign rewards. Check your inventory often.
  2. Upgrade gear. At the smith (from level 2) you make your pieces stronger with wonder sand and gold.
  3. Collect skills. From level 2 you open skill sacks. More in Skills & skill sacks.
  4. Level up. Replay older stages or dungeons for EXP.
  5. Pets. From level 8 a pet fights at your side and adds stats.

4. Daily habits

5. What next?

Once chapter 1 is done, have a look at What to do when. It shows which feature opens when and what it is good for.
